HRS FUNKE Calorifiers
HRS Storage Calorifiers offer a high quality solution for domestic hot water heating. The standard range are manufactured from
either stainless steel, copper, copper-lined steel, galvanized steel or glass lined steel & the Heater Battery is manufactured
from either copper or stainless steel AISI 316L and Electrical Heaters are manufactured from Nicalloy 825 offering a hygienic,
reliable long life. Especially HRS copper lined Calorifiers ca offer hygienic operation which makes it suitable for hotels,
hospitals, educational institutions and other drinking water applications. HRS has more than 30 standard models and also can
offer bespoke design and thus can be designed around constraints within the plant room and also special attention is paid to
where the terminating connections need to be on the unit so it ties well with the system pipe work, helping to reduce on-site
costs with labor and material savings.
Depending on applications and heating process HRS Calorifiers are classified as
Electric Calorifiers
HRS Electric Calorifiers are designed to be used with electricity as the primary heating-energy input, ideal for applications
where there are no boilers or other hot water generating equipment available. HRS Electric Calorifiers are supplied with its
own Control panel, which monitors and controls the heating process to provide maximum efficiency operation. Electrical Heater
are made of Nicolloy 825 to promise high life time.
All Electric Calorifiers are supplied with its own control panel.

Hot Water Calorifier
HRS hot water calorifiers are designed to use with any primary heating source like solar system, boilers etc to provide hygienic
water for different applications. Direct heating sources like solar and boilers can affect water quality which in turn requires an
isolating medium as HRS hot water calorifiers.
HRS hot water calorifiers provide hygienic hot water, by using specially designed copper U-Tube heat exchangers in it. Calorifier will use the primary side hot water as an indirect heating source and will transfer energy to cold water side.
Electrical heaters can also be used with HRS hot water calorifiers either as back up or to meet peak demand.
Steam Calorifier
HRS Steam Calorifiers are designed to use with Steam Boilers as primary heating source to provide hygienic hot water for
different application. The heating source like these cannot be used as direct heating sources since they will affect the water
quality and also high pressure steam are difficult to handle. But the HRS Hot Water Calorifiers can provide hygienic hot water,
by using specially designed copper U-Tube heat exchangers which can withstand high pressure and will convert the heat from the steam to
the secondary water effectively.
In these we can also provide an Electrical Heater either as back up or to meet peak demand.
Solar Calorifier
The HRS SolarStor vessels are a range storage cylinders for use in conjunction with the HRS Solar Water Heating System. All our
vessels are manufactured from copper lined steel, stainless steel, glass lined steel as per customer requirement and are fitted either with dual heat exchanger coils or
with one heat exchanger coil and electrical back up.
The system boiler would be connected to the upper coil to use as an back up and solar to connected to the lower coil, which has
a unique design where the bottom of the coil is much lower than in a normal cylinder design, which reduces the amount of cold
water in the tank and therfore the risk of legionella.
All our standard vessels have a maximum working pressure of 6 BarG and are supplied complete with factory fitted thermostat and
thermometer. The vessels are insulated with mineral wool and encased in a heavy duty polyurethane cladding.
Cold Water Tank
The HRS Cold Water Tank offers a high quality solution for domestic water cooling. The standard range are manufactured from
either copper, copper-lined steel, stainless steel, galvanised steel or glass lined steel & the heat exchangers are
manufactured from either copper or stainless steel AISI 316L offering a hygienic, reliable long life.
With particular attention paid to the design and layout of the units, the HRS Coled Water Tank offer an excellent product both
aesthetically and technically. The units are bespoke and thus can be designed around constraints within the plant room and also
special attention is paid to where the terminating connections need to be on the unit so it ties well with the system pipe work,
helping to reduce on-site costs with labour and material savings.
Hot Water Storage Tank or Buffer Tank
HRS buffer tanks offers storage solution for Domestic Hot Water (DHW) supply system., These are designed to be installed in
Domestic Hot Water Systems (DHWS) to reduce the boiler or solar output requirement by supplying a stored volume of hot water to
cover peak loads in the system.
The standard vessels range from 100 to 5000 litres. Bespoke designs are available to suit site requirements, with dimensions and
connection size and position to suit.
HRS can manufacture vessels up to 100000 litres with dimensions and connections to suit site requirements.
Immersion heaters and all associated controls can be supplied and fitted to provide an electrical backup facility for boiler
shutdown periods with duties ranging from 3 up to 300 kW. This includes for the heaters, control panels (staged or thyristor
control) and all necessary wiring to the latest standards and regulations.
All HRS vessels are designed and manufactured in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive. The vessels models are
available as 6 BarG and 10 BarG as standard. Higher pressures and temperatures than those stated are available upon request.
